I have been a part of this special school community for 32 years, and in that time my passion for providing the very best education for all our children, regardless of their needs or abilities, has only grown. The culture of our school is incredibly important to me and is a big part of why I am still so proud to be here. Our school is a place where children are known, valued and supported every day.
We believe that every child can achieve their full potential, and we work hard to help them do just that. Alongside academic learning, we place a strong emphasis on personal development, preparing our children for life beyond school. We challenge and inspire our pupils, encouraging them to have high expectations and the confidence to believe in themselves.
Our children benefit from a wide range of opportunities both within school and through links with our local and wider community. Just as important are the relationships we build, which are based on trust, respect and a good sense of fun! We want our children to feel happy, safe and excited about learning.
Working closely with parents and carers is integral to each child’s success. We truly believe that when home and school work together, children thrive. Open, honest and regular communication is extremely important to us, and our relationships with families are very much focused on shared goals. We value parents as partners, listening carefully, sharing successes and working together to support every child’s individual journey.
